Welcome to the 195 (Grimsby) Squadron, Air Training Corps Site. This site has been created and is maintained by the cadets and staff of the squadron.
The Air Training Corps is a voluntary youth organisation supported by the Royal Air Force. With almost 49,000 members, aged from 13 to 22 years, the ATC is the world's largest youth air training organisation. Although the "Air Cadets" is not a recruiting organisation, 41% of Officer and 51% of all Aircrew (including pilots, navigators, air electronics operators, air engineers and air loadmasters) recruited by the Royal Air Force are ex-air cadets. Ex-cadets excel in basic training and remain in the Service longer than their colleagues who have not been in the cadet forces.
Grimsby has it's own squadron located just outside the Grimsby town centre and is one of over 1000 different squadrons located in the UK. It currently has a membership of over 60 cadets with a Staff of 13 adult volunteers. The squadron does a host of different activities click the Activities Link on the main menu to find out more.
